    Airport transfers

8 of us are traveling to Aruba in about a week. What is the best way to get from the airport to our resort? I have seen where we can reserve a coach bus or mini-bus or van for about $20 round trip. Is that the best option? Or is a taxi the best option? It seems like a taxi might be less expensive per person, but would there be enough room for our luggage? How many taxis would be need for 8 people and all our luggage?

    Thanks in advance!

welcome to the aruba.com community forum

taxis will probably be less expensive, but totally more convenient.

some of the taxi drivers have vans and some mini vans and some sedans.

when you set out of the airport the taxis will be lined up and the person doing dispatch will assign you one to suit your needs.

you'd need 2 taxis. (limit passengers per taxi)

    Thank you both!

So we don't need to arrange anything in advance? Just show up and get a taxi?

Correct. When you exit the airport go towards your left to the taxi stands.

5 persons limit per taxi. If you are staying in Palm Beach (high rise) each taxi cost is $25; Eagle Beach (low rise area) $22 per taxi. If arriving or departing on a Sunday, there is a $3.00 taxi surcharge. Total taxi cost is less expensive than the shuttle service. Plus you will checked-in at your hotel and on the beach before the shuttle arrives.

Great. Thanks! We are staying at Divi Village Beach & Golf Resort, which I think is in the low-rise section? We are renewing our vows on Eagle Beach and the planner told us it's close to our resort, so I'm guessing that's low-rise.

divi village/golf is lovely and yes it is in the low rise section
eagle beach is the beach about 1/4 mile from divi village and it stretches for about 2/3 of a mile.

here is the taxi fare chart http://www.aruba.com/sigma/Aruba_Taxi_Fares.pdf
the fare is per taxi not per person
