CUSTOMER service is terrific
RATES are great
The vehicles are Yaris, but certainly not humps of dump

Proprietor is Hans Dhooge and he is a kind sweet gentleman.

I rented from them last week for the third and final time. I too was not happy with the condition of the vehicle ~ we got an SUV and it was dirty and junky.
I was not happy with the customer service and felt that they could have been more friendly.
Overall ~ moving onto another rental company. There are too many other options to be unhappy with the cars or service.
Just my two cents

Unfortunately, these companies have no idea the "power of the internet" and how it can influence (good or bad) the success of a business. The Aruba BB's are used widely by people and many look to the posters to help them with decisions.

Rental companies should take note!

Funny I had that exact conversation with Ardley from Royal. I tried to emphasize as nicely as possible that the "word" of poor vehicle conditions were going to get around the forums on the internet.

He explained the extraordinary cost of new vehicles, much more so than simply purchasing one in the U.S. made business very difficult for them.

I know I used to, but no longer, am able to recommend them in good faith.

HMMM, too bad you didn't ask Ardely where my refund was!! Perhaps he was still trying to go through his spam for my emails!

When checking out a car in March, we did inquire about what kind of van we would like for our December trip. They told us that they were getting a newer van in soon but it would be rented out at a higher rate than the older one. They advertise the cost of a van on their website but when you get there if you don't like it and want a newer model then they will charge you for it??

The conversation with Ardley took place in early 2008.

The Lexus RX300 we had which I guess they consider an "exclusive" car was in terrific condtion. So if they were getting in a "new" van, I wonder if they would consider it to be that category?

Right now though, they are offering their "best" discount on Vans, SUV's and exclusive cars.
