Thumbs up

>>> "traveling with a 14 month old"
----- If child still using the baby type car seat bring your own. Found it great for child taking a nap waiting for plane, sitting in under a hut out of the sun, sitting in if you go out to dinner, and .........
Getting on the plane the airline will tag it and you get it back getting off the plane.
Can't give any advice about rental cars as have used cabs for the last 10 years.

I have been renting cars in Aruba for over 30 years. I almost always rent from Budget. Although usually their cars are older, I have never had any mechanical problems. If you get the Visit Aruba card from www.VisitAruba.com, budget gives a 10% discount off of their internet rate. You can go to www.BudgetAruba.com and make a reservation. I agree with Tom that it is best to bring your own car seat, but you can also rent one from the car rental company.

Please keep in mind that "cheapest" or "least expensive" is not always the best rental. My dh just learned this , again , by renting from Hertz. We would never rent from them again after their claim that they did not have a reservation in their system and we had the paperwork in hand to present them.

We have used Amigo in the past with great success. In driving around the island in June we also noticed that Aruba Royal, who we have also used in the past, have a lot of new vehicles.

Payless/Optima has been good to us. Great service and newer cars.

We always rent from Royal. They have decent cars, that are very reasonable. The service is good and the owners are nice.

Ace Rental Car has always provided us good service and rates are competitive. Uses Toyota vehicles. Picks up and drops off at airport. Office close by, on a side road near the airport.

Hi, first time Aruba traveler here. I was interested in renting from Optima and not sure what the correct website was since there is a optima car rental website and a seperate payless website. I contacted both and got 2 different quotes. Can anyone confirm what the correct website is? Thanks!
