We have used Hertz and they were okay.
We have most recently been using Amigo and continue to do so because we have been very happy with them. They pick you up in the vehicle at your resort and take you back to their office to complete the paperwork and you are on your way. For drop off you just do it opposite, driving to the office, complete the paperwork and then they deliver you back to your resort.

Hertz was the most expensive company I've used on the island, but they also had the highest quality vehicle. Amigo has always been good to me as well, though sometimes the vehicles were a less than ideal.

have used amigo also and have never had a problem...I agree with Chadd in that sometimes the vehicles were not in the greatest of shape but since it usually was a jeep and we used it for off roading I never really cared....
