I'd much rather use a taxi.
There were numerous times we were walking thru the Tamarjn area and there were a lot of people (and luggage) sitting waiting for the bus to arrive to take them to the airport. I couldn't imagine standing there waiting like that, making sure your luggage gets on the bus and then having to deal with all that again once you're at the airport.
We called and had a taxi at our door within minutes and we were off to the airport.
And there is always a line of taxis waiting at the airport so that's not an issue at all.

De Palm from airport

Hi all,
My husband and I are returning to Aruba for our 3rd time in July and always use De Palm for transportation to and from the airport. We booked it again, and were thinking of canceling to use a taxi instead. My question is, how much time in advance before our departure flight do we need to get to the airport? De Palm always picked us up hours in advance.
Thanks,
Jackie

We are arriving on a Tuesday and departing on a Monday. Thanks Andrea, I guess 3 hours before a flight is normal. I always feel like I'm sitting in the airport forever waiting, but I guess everyone is doing the same as well.

travel out of aruba on a monday is relatively slow compared to sat or sunday.
i would leave at least 2 hrs.

sometimes 3 hrs is barely enough on the weekends

mon- thurs around 2 to 2.5 hrs.

also too lisa and i would rather err on the "too much time at the airport side, than erring on the "omgosh i am not going to get onto my flight in time"

All depends upon how you "hit it", but I swear, you have never seen airport lines outside of Hartsfield here in Atlanta, until you have tried to depart Aruba. When we departed Aruba at the end of the year, it was even worse due to the "Detroit bomber" scare.

We do 2 1/2 hours on a weekday.
