That question was not dumb at all. My sister lives on Saint Martin and depending on what side of the island you are it is completely legal to drink while you are driving. You definitely have to be on your toes over there. Other than that the rest of your are right to just cab it.

All these posts make me think of the drive-through liquor stores in and around New Orleans. It is legal there to drive while drinking.
