Gas prices on aruba go down slightly

Gas prices on aruba dropped 8.1 cents (florins)

per liter the price is 231.4 cents (florins)

so per gallon in US dollars it is about $4.30 ( rough estimate)

i read of the price decrease in the newspaper and a man at the beach today gave me his rough conversion estimate

If any of you can do an actual conversion, please, I welcome actual, not estimates. Thanks

Using 1.75 florins = $1.00, the cost of gasoline in dollars per gallon is $5.005.

    really, that high?

    i appreciate your figuring!!

got a private message from someone with this:
the way i just figured was
so if there are 3.8 liters to 1 gallon
and a liter of gas costs 2.3 florins
that equals 8.74 florins per gallon

8.74 converted to us dollars is $ 4.88

either way, the gas price here is set by the government and it is a small decrease.

i cannot believe i am doing math at 7 am.
    .

    thanks rpumpire!!!

    8.74 converted to US dollars is $4.99, not 4.88 -- but you're excused at 7 a.m. !

Thx rpump. I was relaying the private message I got with conversion.
    7am is not my friend.

Oh how I wish I paid attention in basic math oh so many years ago.

Our gas status on our Hyundai here on aruba, we have burned 1/3 of a tank in a week. We haven't gone far.

Btw now it is 8:30 throw me an equation. Not!
