    To the inconsiderate visiting motorist

    I hope you are ashamed

At approx 1:30pm in Arawak Gardens you drove into my car and caused damage

I hope you are proud of the way you sped off

I hope you are able to settle your conciscence at damaging someone elses property

I hope that in the future you develop some intestinal fortitude and do the right things...though I doubt it

I hope you realise that what goes around eventually comes around

And finally, I hope you realise that all this was recorded by cameras scanning the parking and as I write this the Aruba Police are reviewing the tape

Loved the natural bridge before it collapsed...now not so much...view from lighthouse, sunset drinks at the Hyatt, tearing it up on the north side with a rental jeep...I could go on for hours....

    Chill

...I hope this perp comes to his senses and comes back to make restitution to you for damaging your car, but you should just let karma take care of this...the aruba police could make a case against JVS, you think they are going to be able to CSI the parking lot footage and get a plate number? Good luck to you, and I hope you receive 10 times the positive for this terrible negative you have suffered.

Thanks. I do not want to reopen the whole JVS thing, but just wanted to say...new people in the police, new officers, a dedicated new commissioner and a new govenment elected since then. I am hoping that this is all positive and a move forward for policing in Aruba. It is not perfect, but, lets hope these are moves in the right direction. On this trip, i have observed the use of radar against speeders, the stopping of cars for seatbelt violations...( now a 200AFL Fine) and a much greater presence of police on bikes and in all areas driving around. This is encouraging.

As I said don't want to start up the whole JVS?Policing thing but really.... thanks for your thoughts and comments I don't expect them to catch the idiot who did this, but at least the cops who showed up took a report, went to review the video and were courteous. That counts in my book.

    unfortunate indeed.
how many of us have suffered the same situation...at home, on vacation or aruba?

a year or 2 ago we were rear ended in traffic on the way to MJ restaurant.
the person that hit us was very remorseful.
the police were terrific as was the insurance accident adjuster.
the aruba police do a fine job and i hope that they can remedy this.
