Lost rental car keys - help??

We rented a car yesterday from Economy at the Ocean Club, did our grocery shopping, got some t-shirts at the Harley shop & picked up stuff at the Aruba aloe store.

We went to go to dinner at MJ last night & could not find the car keys!!

We have searched every nook & cranny of this condo - called lost & found retraced our steps back to the car & they are no where to be found!!

We will walk over to the car place when they open.

Does any one know how much this will cost us??

Do they have another key for us to use today?? We had places to go - things to see & really need the car!!

I am up at 5 am & just frantic!!

Thanks so much!!

Cant help you on the key bt I would bet they do. Im sure it happens all the time. As for being frantic, calm down. Think about it, you lost your keys in Aruba. It will all turn out ok! I know easy for me to say the worst that can happen is you have to sit at the pool for a while until they get a new set Hope all turns out well!!!!

The only thing is....... Who finds them if the licence plate number is with them.

I know some Rentals do. I take the tag off.

We went over this morning - they charged us $ 260.00 to re-key the car. We went to Lindas for some blue berry pan cakes- came back to the Surf Club & found the keys in the camera case.I know it was DH who did that!! Took the keys back to the car place & got the money refunded!!

Whew!! Off to the hot tub - then maybe dinner at Tony Romas!!

Thanks all!!

I cant believe that a rental company didn't have another set of keys and charged you $250 to re-key the car.You said that they gave you your money back when you brought back the key.Something doesn't sound right.Glad everything worked out enjoy the rest of your vacation.Put the key on the counter when you get to your room so that you both will know where it is.

We returned this car this afternoon. Only needed it for 2 days.

It has an electronic gizmo on the key - so they said they had to re-key the car & put in a new ignition thing.

We're just happy we found the keys!!

I always put a bowl on the counter for "stuff"-but we had so many shopping bags yesterday - the keys got lost!!
