I always put a bowl on the counter for "stuff"-but we had so many shopping bags yesterday - the keys got lost!!
Glad you found them AND got your money back.

It could have been re- keyed for about $50....... If it was at all.
A new Key, with the chip, costs about $25.

Which rental company was this.

Congratulations on a happy resolution, some day you can probably even laugh about it. I locked mine in the trunk when I was there the rental company was very understanding, the wife a little less understanding.

Pretty ironic that you used "Economy" and they charged you $260.00

I stand corrected ,the key for my jeep cost $250,so it could be possible for that key to cost that much.

Something I don't get -- if they re-keyed the car, how would the original one still work???

They hadn't re-keyed it yet. We found the keys in the camera case later the same day & I ran back to the place. They reversed the charges so all went well!!
