It is about time that the rates were increased...they are deserved, and needed.

I would like to know where this information was obtained officially. The websites listed are on Aruba Bound which is Aruba Lisa's website.
Lisa, where did you find out about the taxi increases?
Official signature(s) and seals, for source see above

Yes, they do. Try to have small bills that they don't have to make change. I always have lots of $5's and $1's on hand for taxi's and the bus.

It is not quite clear whether the rates are per person or per cab. Can someone help with that clarification

Taxi rates are per taxi, not per person. There is a $3.00 (per taxi) surcharge after midnight, on Sundays and on Aruban holidays. One piece of luggage and 1 personal item per person (handbag, laptop, etc.) is included. There is a $2.00 per piece additional charge for extra luggage, though I have only been charged 1x for extra luggage.

That was answered.. The rates are for the TAXI with up to 5 people in it. There are other extras, for certain amounts of luggage, or times of days, or certain days!
