It says no more than 5 persons in a taxi....even vans that could hold 6-7 are limited to only 5?

All taxi licenses may carry a maximum of 5 persons, regardless of vehicle capacity. In other words, if it is a taxi, and has a license, even if it can hold 13 people, by law they may only carry 5.

Taxi or Bus Help

Hello,
I hope you can provide me with some help. I will be arriving on a cruise in November. There will be 12-18 of us adults and children.I have found a sail/snorkel tour that sounds good. I do not have the address yet, but I think it will leave from the Holiday Inn area. I know the bus is a possible mode to transportation, but I don't understand the bus schedule I looked at. So I am wondering about what the taxi would cost and if they can be gotten at the pier or would we still need to walk to the main street.

Thank you for the information,
Vickie

Renting a car is personal preference. I know many times my husband does not wish to drive to dinner in order to be able to share a bottle of wine.

FWIW, there had not had an increase in fares since 2002, and are in addition paying a 12% tax which they are unable to pass along to their passengers.

Thumbs up Taxi Fares

Hi ArubaLisa, Thank you for posting the new taxi fares. It's a great piece of info. My son and his friends will be going to Aruba with us in seven weeks and I will be sure to give them a copy as I don't want them driving after a night out. Also, I am going to inquire about the rental prices with avis for my stay and compare it with the other agencies. Paradise in seven weeks !!!
