We are going to our Aruban home away from home soon, Casa Del Mar and are looking for opinions concerning rental cars agencys on the island. We have used quite a few and have had both good and bad experiences so we're looking for some direction. Looking for info on Jeep rental.

i know that they have jeeps or jeep-like vehicles.
i have never utilized their services though.

Aruba Royal is who we are planning on using. Have read good and bad but that goes for most car rental places. And we want a jeep - don't see many that offer jeeps.

We also own at Casa del Mar for many, many years and have used several car rentals, some good experiences for the most part and some bad experiences. We are coming down to Aruba May 14th to May 30th but do not want to go over board on the rate for 16 days, but want a good midsized car automatic, power steering and air. Tried calling Budget but got the most ridiculous price quote for a mid sized car for the above dates in the amount of $650 including taxes for 16 days. That is a very, very high quote and never paid that much for those amount of days. I tried calling Royal Car Rentals toll free number this morning and no one picked up. I then called Royal's direct Aruba number. Someone answered the phone and immediately put me on hold and after 3 minutes of holding, I just hung up. Just wondering what the experiences are of dealing with Royal in the past. Is there a good contact person there that I can ask for at Royal? Thanks for a quick reply

I had the worst experience with Royal. Hopefully you don't get their old red jeep.

Stay away from royal car rental.......don't trust them with your credit card!!!!!
