is renting a car for 1 day worth it?

My husband and i are here with our 2 year old son.

My husband could care less about seeing the rest of the island, but i'm curious and want to see more. We're staying at the marriott surf club.

Is it worth renting a car for 1 day????? To see the baby beach? lighthouse? and everything else?

Obviously we can't do any snorkeling, hiking or anything. TIA!

renting a car for a day would be a terrific plan!
don't rent on a weekend as baby beach will be too crowded.
check out baby beach, alto vista chapel, california lighthouse, remains of the natural bridge, arikok national park (the paved road enter at the visitors center).
you may want to rent for 2 days ;-)

Well worth it. The other side of the island is very different than the resort side and Andrea's 2 day suggestion is worth considering. If your husband enjoys a beer maybe you can lure him along to see the coolest pool room in the world at Zeerovers (the fishermans place near Savaneta).

While on vacation my honey does not drive. At all.

Would you be the one to drive or your DH?

I think I would do the driving and thinking of renting a car for one day for our next visit. (the rules of the road different then here)

do they drive on the other side of the road?

Well we rented a car for the day. I think we'll hit up the lighthouse, baby beach and eagle beach. Any other suggestions?
