hey all, this will be our third trip to aruba and we have not gone to donkey sanctuary, we rent a car from hans but I am not sure if we can drive the road to santuary does it reeally need a jeep?

no jeep required
we went in one of hans' vehicles a few yrs ago.

i will be darned though if i can give you the directions.

i'll look at their facebook pg and see if directions are listed

Directions
Take route 4A from the hotels. At the Pizza Hut in Paradera take a left turn. At the second intersection, just before Ayo Rock formation, you will find the white/brown road signs to the sanctuary and within 5 minutes you can pet the 59 (total of 105) donkeys.
Opening hours:

Saturday - Sunday 10 am - 3 pm

Monday till Friday 9 am till 4 pm.

desiree eldering (sp?) is the owner/manager/ceo of the donkey sanctuary

she is very artistic and has some lovely paintings and prints for sale there.

very very unique and we have one hanging in our house.

makes a great souvenir or gift

I am so glad I saw this thread with the directions.

I am looking forward to taking my son in February. He will have just turned 1 and LOVES animals! He'll get a kick out of watching us feed them too.
