Should I take bus or taxi from la cabana to Barefoot

We have resevations at Barefoot and an planning two have a couple glasses of wine with my wife while there and don't want to drive the rental car. Could we take the bus from La cabana and enjoy the local culture and people or should we take a taxi?
Thanks
Terry

Taxi or Bus

The buses from what we noticed do not run frequently and it gets pretty hot waiting for a bus. Taking a taxi is the best way to go in my opinion. But then again, I like my comfort.

Why was I under the impression that buses ran every 20 minutes?

they do run every 20 minutes.
sometimes the little mini buses come thru in between....so sometimes there will be bus or mini bus service as much as 5 times per hr. 3 big busses and 2 little mini ones

Hi Andrea..We took your advice and took a bus to Barefoot and a cab back to Crystal Casino. As we were waiting at the bus stop an old yellow van driven by Fidal Castro picked us up. What a character this guy was! Needles to say when we got out at Barefoot he asked for three more dollars on top of the fares? I had no problem with this however was he trying to pull a fast one on us? We then took a cab back from Barefoot to The Crystal Casino and this cost us ten dollars...Does that sound like the correct price or were we taking for a ride,(pardon the pun)? Anyway we had a wonderful meal at Barefoot and will write a review shortly.

i used the calculation talk of the town to o'staad.
should have been $7

lisa and i like to tell folks to make sure to ASK if the driver follows the "posted fares"
and as far as i know $7 would have been the appropriate fare.

and re: fidel castro i am LAUGHING OMgosh funny. i did not know he was well enough to be driving :-)
and again, he should have only charge you the "going rate" for the bus 2 florins i think

but, you seem to be ok with all of that and i am glad that your dinner was enjoyable.

are you sure it was not Raoul?
;-)

I could have sworn it was Fidal, however the name Raoul does ring a bell..And yes, we will remember that dinner for a very long time.
