my mom in law and myself were the only passangers with NO luggage and from the airport to the Tamarijn we got charged $20, did we get ripped off?

Yes, unless it was a Sunday. Sunday there is a $3 surcharge.

Hi and thanks for coming.

The Taxi fare from the Marriott or any other hotel in the same area to town is $10 , any amount of people.
If you don't feel like paying $10, then what you can do is join the fellows who are also going to town and share the fare e.g. $10:4 prs =$ 2.50 pr person.
Taxi's line up right outside your hotel always ready to provide the best service to our 5 star guests.
The Taxi drivers motto in Aruba is: 5 star hotels, 5 star guests and 5 star Taxi's, because you deserve the best
