Taxi's

I read the taxi prices on another thread but when the prices list say 17 dollars , does that mean for a group of 3-4 or is that per person ? Never used one and wanted to see if we just use a taxi this time instead of rentals - thanks

Taxi prices are per taxi - not per person. There is an additional surcharge of $3.00 per taxi on Sundays, Aruban holidays and after midnight. Maxinium # of people in a taxi is 5 people.

Everyone is different. Dh got tired of not being able to find his way around in the dark and since we only need a car to go out to dinner, we found taxis for us, to be less expense and less hassle than a car rental.

Thumbs up

---- Ditto for us. Can also walk to a Casino and some restaurants so a rental would just sit for a few days. Some tours will also pick you up.
Now if this is your first trip and want to see the island a 3 day rental would be nice. In the past those special would be in the free newspapers at the resorts. Or take the KK Party Bus one evening and you get to see some of the island.

This is our 6th time so we have seen the island several times as we have always done the rental thing but thought this time we would hang out more at the resort. We would just need to go out for dinner a few nights and the grocery store. Being at LaCabanna it seems we are about mid way from the high rise area and downtown so prices are not to bad -

Glad it worked out for you! I have a couple of questions, where did you rent from? How did you get the rental and what kind of condition was the car in? I would love to hear your answers.
We are trying to figure out if the rental is worth it or not. We are staying at the Bucuti and want to eat at a couple of out of the way places...
Thanks in advance!
