Thanks Andrea for the link. Your right, allot of work needs to be done to take in the finished product. Love how the palm trees look. It can only help the downtown area. We would take the trolly when we come back.

I believe that the purpose of the trolley is to draw tourists (especially cruisers) to the shopping area behind the waterfront area, along Main Street. It should also help the restaurants back that way, once they increase the hours. We walked the trolley route when we were there last month. They've done a lot, but still have right much work to do in that area.
Wow - time is flying but I wanted to give a quick update on the trolley. We were anxious for completion last year but no go, so since we have been following the project.....like many of you, we wanted to see and experience for ourselves. As posted in previous locations....IT IS RUNNING and for now....there is NO CHARGE, just hop and and hop off at your destination. It currently travels from the cruise ship station (or main drag L.G. Street) and goes through the belly of downtown. You can see it is a work in progress but it totally changes to interior of downtown in a good way (in my opinion). Here's a few pics and will be one of those "must things to do," especially for those who truly remember what downtown use to look like.
Thanks for the update on the trolley. I'm so excited to go for a ride! Plus, I never really even thought to check out the stores on Main Street. Always stuck to the main drag so this gives me an excuse to venture out.
