Just returned from 5 weeks in paradise. We rented from Hans at Tropic. Very good rate. When we walked out the door at the airport his man had a sign with our name on it. We walked to parking lot, he loaded our bags and we were on the road in 5 min. Halfway thru visit Hans called and came to wash and clean our car. Never heard of that. When we left we met his man at departure terminal and again done in 5 mins. What a pleasure to do business with Hans. Highly reccommended!

We may not need a van for our trip in Dec. so I thought I would check on Tropic as everyone has such great things to say about him.

However, I went on his website and found this:
Rate can change without prior notice for week 1, week 51 and 52 and the month of February

That is a bit worrisome as I am not that comfortable renting a car for week 51 and week 52 and finding out at the last minute that his price could go up!

Any comments?

make a reservation if you think the price is fair.
once there is a confirmation, he honors the price.

he is a very honorable man.

we were in an accident on aug 17
hans showed up at the accident scene and gave us another car.

We just used Hans again and had exceptional service. We had a Hyundai Accent this time too, so maybe he's moving away from just Yaris? Anyways, he's a great guy and will be getting our business every year from now on.

Are the Accents supposed to have more interior room?

the car that we had in august that was rear ended was a toyota yaris.
the replacement car that hans gave us was a brand new hyundai accent.........and we loved that vehicle. (we have been hyundai owners for a while now.........converted volvo owners)
