What makes more sense, Jeep or Convertible?

Should we rent a Jeep or Convertible for our first trip to Aruba! Please advice...

i'm in same boat. I decided, either convertible or a Jeep(soft top). we're renting a vehicle for 1 day, to travel the whole island, and still debating which vehicle.

be forewarned it is HOT and the sun is brutal.
i always rent a sedan with airco.

if you are going to be doing ON road travel where 4wd is not necessary, i really recommend a vehicle with a roof (even if removable) so you can run the airco. (a convertible would suit), but remember about the sun/heat/getting fried.

Ok, you mean nice hot like getting tanned hot, or scorching hot I want to jump in a pool and stay there hot???

And we heard that the roads are bad in Aruba, is that true?

scorching hot and burning to a crisp !!!!
I always rent a open air jeep, but we have been going to aruba for forever and know what to do and not to do......
biggest thing to remember....SUNSCREEN APPLIED LIBRALLY AND OFTEN
next thing to remember.....HATS WITH FLOPPY VISORS TO PROTECT HEAD, NECK AND FACE
third thing to rember...TAKE A FOLDABLE COOLER IN YOUR SUITCASE....the day you go out touring take lots of water....LOTS AND LOTS....
the last thing......toilet paper......no expanation necessary.....

It is my humble opinion you haven't see Aruba until you rent a jeep for a day. Arikok National Park alone is worth the price of the rental, but add the Natural Pool, the caves and other places not reachable by car and you will add so much to your Aruba experience.

in fact compared to any caribbean country that i have visited, the roads are super.

Hot, scorching, hell-like.

We too go for air conditioned vehicles.

Ride an open air jeep on dirt roads all day and you will also be dirty and filthy besides sunburned and hot.

Below is a shot of clothing after Andrea went horseback riding. Our clothes looked the same after a couple of hours on an ATV.
