What's The Best Way to Get Around Aruba

My wife and I will be going to Aruba for our anniversary Oct 4 - 11, 2009. This will be our first trip but we are the explorer type. We really like to experience all a place has to offer in terms of sighseeing when we visit a location. Should we rent a car (concerned about the liability), rely on the bus system (will schedules and routes limit us), or should we use bully (concerned about the cost over a week long period)? We love getting out on our own and not so much with groups so we can move at our own pace and enjoy the landscape. looking forward to your comments and experiences.

Definitely rent a car - very accessible Island via car. You might even be able to get a deal on a jeep - then you can really "explore". Read your credit card agreements carefully - some do cover international car rental - if not, go for the extra insurance on the car through the rental agency. Rent from a reputable corporate rental place if you are concerned.
