Hi, We'll be in Aruba from Jan 12-31 and interested in going deep sea fishing. Want to know if anyone else interested during that time as we like to share a boat. Our timeshare is in Orangestaad so we'd go with a boat in the Renaissance marina. Thanks! Sue Basler
I just want to warn you as we did not do our homework when we went fishing in Aruba. A lot of the boats do not 'fish' meaning you don't ever touch a rod, they just troll around for 4 hours. It happened to us and we never found that out until we were out in the water. Needless to say my hubby was pretty mad and on top of it we never caught a fish! So make sure you ask that question if you really want to fish. Or if you don't mind a 4 hour boat ride...
I hope you have a great trip and find someone to share your fishing trip with.
We were there in Nov., and went fishing with Tuie, on the "Go Get Em", find George on the beach by the Mambo Bar(between the Holiday Inn and the Marriott), he books everything...LOL. He's a local and a nice guy, he's in a make shift hut. We had a blast and caught fish, tell him john from New Jersey sent you. Have a GREAT TIME.
we went fishing last year with an operator a friend picked. He was too expensive and had a boat much larger than we needed. We did catch lots of fish, tuna and wahoo, and had a great dinner. But he didn't want to go up north at all which is where a lot of the other fisherman were going for great catches. So we'll be looking for a different boat this year. Sue
