Sticky Suggestion!

Maybe a sticky at the top of this section about the weekly BB parties at the Amsterdam Manor beach bar. Possibly from Aruba Amy since she is the one that started this almost 4 years ago.

To those that have not been, they are every Monday at 5:00 pm at the Amsterdam Manor beach bar. Some Monday's there have been as many as 30 show up, & some with almost no one. We have met many BB members over the years.

I think the thing that confused us on the BB parties was that all kinds of forum members were there. Not that we aren't into meeting people but we never realized so many sites were out there.

Thanks everyone! We started putting together Aruba BB parties every year since 1999....and they were hard to schedule with a date and a place for everyone because so many people had different schedules, hotels, etc. (it became a minor headache.

)

We finally got smart and in Sept. 2004 (with Amsterdam Manor's cooperation and approval) we started the weekly BB parties every Monday at Amsterdam Manor's beach bar. Now it's so easy to just say "Hey, if you're on the island at the same time, we'll meet you there!"

All of the main Aruba BB's (about 5 of them) also know about the weekly BB parties so you'll meet people from different boards.

i think too that amsterdam manor benefited from being the host.
lots had no clue that AM was even there.
imo it is one of the best place on aruba.
it is quaint, comfortable, friendly and accomodating.
i love the place.

as a result of them hosting the weekly gatherings, folks now know of the place and like what they see.

so it is a win win situation.
we get to meet and greet.
AM gets to show its stuff to tourists/bb members that broadcast on the sites just how nice the place is.
