    Thanksgiving and the Week after

I know from the countdown thread and our tickers there are quite a few forum members who will be on the island the week of Thanksgiving and the week after. We arrive Thanksgiving Day and will be spending most of our time around Palm Beach most days. We have a loose plan that will likely change. We won't be at the Monday bulletin board meeting because that was the best day for us to try Flying Fishbone. I'm starting this thread so we can talk about our excitement and upcoming plans. Maybe some of us will end up in the same places at the same times, but I'm not looking for a formal meet and greet.
Does anyone have plans for Jolly Pirates, or a sunset sail? How about fishing? These are all things on our "maybe list". We will be checking out Renaissance for one night and fingers crossed, renting a jeep for a day. Anyone else at Playa Linda during this time?
Not sure when, but we will be back

We haven't made much of any plans for this trip other than reservations for Quinta Del Carmen and Wilhemenia. I don't generally like dining reservations but do want to try these two places. We'll be at the Rennaisance the Monday following Thanksgiving for a few nights. I'm looking forward to checking out the private island and Tom is looking forward to the Seaport Casino so I expect to lose him to the casino the nights we're there. Also really want to check out the Store with the Aruba Artisan products, Hoping to find some of Terrafuse's products there. We'll be at the Divi AI for the first part of our vacation where I don't expect to move too far from the beach.

Sounds perfect, Peg. We will miss you at the Renn as we changed to later in the week so it would correspond with our anniversary and be a special night. We are planning lots of beach time our first few days and last couple days. Even the day we have the jeep we plan to mix in a fair amount of snorkeling at Arashi and possibly Baby Beach.

We rent a house in Malmok. The only plans we have are meeting one of the past brides from this forum and her family for thanksgiving dinner at Le Petit. They actually rented a house by us. Then we're meeting Lisa, the wedding planner at Radisson for breakfast at Taste of Belgium. I always meet up with Lisa ever since meeting her like 3 years ago. Those are our only definite plans. friends of ours we've met in Aruba will be arriving a couple of days after us. So we'll meet them on the beach on Saturday.

Its always laid laid back with a whatever attitude. Of course I'll shop. Love shopping in Aruba.

We usually go to Pelican's Pier for a bucket of Brights but this year want to try West Deck to watch the sunset. We also travel downtown 1-2 times during our stay. I also am planning a new restaurant for our night out but haven't chosen which one yet. I would love to try one on the beach to watch sunset, probably won't decide until last minute in hopes that friends of ours we've met over the years at Divi will join us. Also still hoping to do a sunset cruise for the first time. Other than that lots of beach and relaxing time. Oh and I almost forgot we are definitely taking a trip to Charlies Bar which we have never done, after reading An Island Away Dh wants to check it out.

I really think you will love the West Deck. It was one of our favorite spots last trip. Also I'm sure our paths will cross at the Divi!

If you see at Pelican Pier, please stop by and say hi. I'm sure we will be there most days. We also plan to check out West Deck.
For a beach dinner, my favorite so far has been Barefoot. We aren't making any other dinner plans ahead of time, other than Flying Fishbone.

Yes I am looking forward to seeing you and Tom again Peg I know I've heard and read great things about West Deck, I am guessing we must have walked right around the place a bunch of times and never noticed it. We probably should have walked just a bit further I am guessing.

I will definitely look for you Tracey, we usually end up there around happy hour time. If we see you I hope you jump of the deck for us

Another thing we may do depending on how the day goes and if we are up for a later night - Wednesday nights Sweet Peppers at Caribbean Palm Village has a karaoke dance party. Pictures on their Facebook page always look like a good time.
I'm sure we will end a few evenings at Hard Rock depending on the bands they have.

I mentioned fishing above. Our plan is to see how the catches look on our first couple days. If the charters are coming in with decent catches, we might try to book a trip. We've gone before but haven't had the best luck. Jon wants to see what they are catching and if there is a boat that is consistent before we book again.

I'm getting a feeling of organized chaos...lol. I've agreed not to plan every minute of every day, but I have to admit its killing me!
Not sure when, but we will be back
