i will find the link to the story in ENGLISH
and here is the email i got from a friend giving the information that was known at the time.

Hey Andrea- We had a police shoot out today about noon to 1pm. The police had some Columbians under watch for a threat of a armed robbery at an unknown location (some speculate a bank). The police found two near the Seaport marketplace today and when they closed in, the Columbians opened fire in broad daylight infront of tourists and locals. The police SWAT team fired back, killing two on scene. The police later raided a home in Noord and got two more suspects and equipment was found proving an attack on a business or bank was in the planning. I will provide more info as I get it, but it is already on www.awe24.com and www.boletinextra.com for the pictures and story

Always sad to see so much violence, still it looks like good police work.
Robbers by shooting in a public environnement needed to be stop quickly.

This was an example of good police work. Although 30 bullets were fired, only the bad guys got the worst.

Tranquility requires vigilance on the part of all.

Yikes! It's miraculous that only the bad guys got shot. Sounds like awesome police work. Good to know they have a SWAT team. We're headed to Renaissance Ocean Suites in 2 days. We were on Harbor Island in the Bahamas years ago and on our first night the restuarant/bar/marina blew up. Literally. They almost had to evacuate the tiny island but luckily the wind was blowing the right way. If this shoot-out had happened when we were there, I'd start to think we were vacation cursed.

Congratulations on the good thinking and care taken by the police to make sure that none other than the robbers were killed.

    Thanks for the links Andrea.
Quite a story for Aruba. Glad everything came out well for the police and civilians. This would be a page 3 story in Tulsa.
