2 slot parlors @ Queen Beatrix Airport
One is located just before entering US CUSTOMS.
The other is located across from one of the lower numbered departure gates (maybe 3 or 4?) Do any of you throw in a few OR much money before you get on the plane to fly home? It does kill a little time. I do wonder though just how profitable those 2 slot parlors are for a) the players b) the house ? ? ? |

Actually, there are 3! I saw 2 on the concourse, one at each end of the gate area! All of the 3 were very sparsley populated. No desire to play there and don't see this being a long lived enterprise.

------ Ditto! Now the bars, food, drink vendors near the gates were doing a very big business. And since the prices were very high someone is making a pretty $$. >>>> "Do any of you throw in a few OR much money before you get on the plane" ------ Nope! Not a cent. Now I did have a Amstel Bright and wife had a wine. Last edited by TomFrederick; 07-07-2011 at 07:51 AM. |

a little off topic but somewhat related...do they still allow smoking inside the airport at the bar/restaurant?
We flew home January 2010 and we all smelled like smoke from just sitting in the area for a short while waiting for our flight. YUCK! |

"And since the prices were very high someone is making a pretty $$."
Just a note on prices! Airports, sports stadiums and convention centers have huge prices in part because of commissions paid to the host, in this case probably the airport authority. It's not unusual for commissions to north of 50%! |

Good question, Andrea. I have wondered that myself. In the airport in Las Vegas, you always see some people on the machines, but the feeling in Aruba is not really the same. I love the casinos at night, but don't really think about them during the day. When I go to Vegas, however, I go for one reason...the casinos.
Here are scans of both sides of a cashout ticket (collectors call them tito's). I don't really collect them, but I have ended up with quite a few. I like this one because there is nothing else to collect from the Airport slot parlors. Is there?
