    very loose translation:

sadly, these 2 people, drowned in their quest for a new life.

Absolutely nuts(or desperate) to try to swim to shore over there. The conditions and rip currents in that area of Aruba are some of the worst the island knows. Only experienced surfers swim there afaik. Sad enough, i'm not sure they would've known that.

I got more of an update.................there were 10 folks escaping from Venezuela trying to make Aruba their home.
2 drowned and the police apprehended the other 8.

i think that they will be (if not already) deported.

it is heartbreaking that these poor venezuelan folks, similar to cubans making their way to the usa, find that their only option is manning a boat.
and a boat is probably a poor name for the vessel. chances are it might only be a raft of sorts.
    a tragic situation.
