Since Monday is Dec 24th, Christmas Eve and NY Eve is on Monday, Dec 31, are you still going to have the BB party at the Amsterdam Manor that day. We are going to be in Aruba from Dec 23 to Jan 20, and do want to make it to one of the BB parties.

Thanks for putting that idea out there Jamie. I would love to meet you all. I will be in Aruba for 3 weeks so that puts me there on these Mondays: December 31st, January 7th, and January 14th. If we can move one of the BB parties to the Manchebo or somewhere else handicapped accessible that would be great. Or if any of you want to meet up for a drink any other time I am in Aruba that would be great. I have made some great friends in Aruba and I want that to continue!

Another reason I am looking forward to this vacation is that on October 12th I had a terrible fall (went to the hospital the next day). I ended up breaking my left Femur all of the way through, plus fracturing my right Tibia and Patella. I had a 3 hour operation on October 14th where a 12" rod was put in the center of my Femur. After spending October 13th through the 17th in the hospital I left with two temporary casts on both legs. At that time I was worried about still making my vacation, but within a couple of days I said NOTHING is going to stop this trip after going through this. My doctor says it will take me a year to heal fully, though I do not have a brace on my left leg now and when I get to Aruba my right brace will come off during the day. I do not want a zebra tan!! I will just have to be careful and try to keep the ladies off of my lap. My friends call me Hef for a reason. lol Anyways see you all in Aruba! At least some of you

There is a paved walkway from the road to the beach bar at Amsterdam Manor but it ends right at the bar. From the crosswalk between Amsterdam Manor and the beach it runs parallel to the road and then turns toward the beach bar (the bartenders use this walkway all the time for their carts to get supplies to the bar.) So you can get to the beach bar but the walkway ends abruptly right at the bar. However, it's very easy to move some of the tables and chairs that are in the sand over to the walkway so that everyone can mingle.
