Aruba is not really known as a "party place". But if you do go and that's the atmosphere you're looking for then the closest you would get is to stay downtown at the Renaissance. A few nightclubs downtown that would be walkable and more going on downtown then in the main hotel areas at Palm or Eagle Beach.

hey thnx for the feed back, we actually might end up just going to cancun mexico..ive always wanted to go to aruba but from the things ive been looking at and evreything it seems to be just an "okay" island, nothing really grabbed my attention as much as the stuff im seeing for cancun, but thank you for getting back to me...by the way have you been to cancun?

Cancun might be a better choice for you - ALOT more nightlife there. Have never been to Cancun but have been to Playa del Carmen many times - we love it there! The nightlife in Playa is good, but....you'll still find more in Cancun.

18th Trip to Aruba (Sept. 11-28, 2008) in

It's been a several years since last visit to Cancun, but have fond memories. (Since we're getting older, we enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Aruba.)
Night club wise in addition to Carlos & Charlies, is Senor Frogs, Hard Rock, Pat O'Briens (like in New Orleans w/dueling pianos). Probably alot more now. Also several booze cruises to Isla Mujares during the day and night. Definetely a younger crowd-loved going when I was in college/and in my 20's. Lots of hotels to choose from also. Have fun.
