AA & Blue-green very accomodating

Family and I are planning a trip May 5 to Aruba. Husband, self, and inlaws.
Due to some unforseen problems at work, it looks as if we might have to put off the trip by 5 days. We will find out on Friday if the trip has to be postponed.

I called AA and asked about the penalites and them getting us on new flights. I called Blue-green and asked availability for
a week's stay, but 5 days later.

Well, believe it or not they both were very accomodating and cordial, will not charge us additional fees and held new and tentative reservations for new May dates all without penalties. I am shocked. Both put tentative reservations on a 48 hr courtesy hold for us and did not delete our original reservations.
Some less frayed nerves here in Belmont, Mass.
3 cheers for big corporate AA and Bluegreen.

Re: AA & Blue-green very accomodating

Blue-green is a Timeshare thing somewhat like
Interval and/or RCI.
Blue-green has a bunch of properties and also the Lacabana in Aruba.

Bluegreen deals with the =points system=.
We originally owned units at lacabana 426 A for weeks 19 and 20 and also the same unit for weeks 51 and 52.

Converted these with Blue-green for 79,000 points annually to be used at our home resort which is Lacabana for any week and also can be used at other Blue-green resorts, or traded thru RCI or banked in the Blue-green system.

So far we have used our home weeks in our original unit over the holidays in 2004 and
will used 2 weeks this spring.

Prior to this dealing with Blue-green, our experiences with them have been just ok, nothing terrific, just ok.

Re: AA & Blue-green very accomodating

Bluegreen is a resort/timeshare development/mangement corporation.

La Cabana is a member of the Bluegreen family.

We have timeshares at 2 Bluegreen properties,
1. La Cabana (5 years)
2. Shore Crest in Myrtle Beach, SC (10 Years).

Personally, we have been pleased with Bluegreen properties.

Enjoy,
Bob

S. Windslow,
Are you able to get the weeks you want at LaCabana? We have always been afraid to switch as it is hard enough to get anything through Interval International.
