Adopted dog in Aruba, need Transporter going to NYC this weekend
Hello Friends!
I am on my Honeymoon and we loved Aruba and are staying at the Marriot Resort till tomorrow. We found a dog in Alto Vista Chapel that was dumped there this weekend and we were able to catch her and get her medical attention. The only thing is we are leaving on jetblue who does not cargo dogs and need a transporter for her going to NYC FRI, SAT, OR SUN flying out on Delta or American Airlines to get her back home. AA Cargo wants over a 1000.00 to do it because we are not traveling with her. If you are in Aruba, and your flying to NYC this weekend and can help us, please contact us. We will pay for the transportation just need a "transporter" to fly with the dog. It is free for transporter. Please help! |

Dog Transportation this weekend to NYC airports
Bessy,
You and your new husband are wonderful and caring people to do this. The Aruban residents are wonderful friendly people, but unfortunately many of them do not care the same way about their pets as we do. There are so many unwanted dog and cat strays wondering around the island that breaks peoples hearts. There is an organization in Aruba called friends of the animals (I think) that try's to rescue these strays and give them health care plus trying to find them new homes. However, they work on limited funds. It would be wonderful if every guest who has dogs and cats of their own that travels to Aruba would donate at least $1 (US dollars) to friends of the animals while they are on the island, this would be wonderful. I do know that T-shirts with the logo Aruba Friends of the Animals were for sale, but not sure if they are doing that now. Maybe Andria can post the email address or phone number of friends of the animals in Aruba and name of the contact person so donations can be given to support this great organization. Best of luck in getting your new doggie back to the NYC area. |
