AGA Dine Around

Has anyone ever purchased the dine around program? I see you can get if 3, 5, or 7 nights at $109, $177 or $245. Is it worth it in your opinion? Are the restaurants on the list decent? And are the meals limited or do they give you enough food? Thanks for any input-

Re: AGA Dine Around

The AGA Dine Around is definitely worth it--the restaurants on the list are very good, the restaurant list is diverse, and you end up saving money. My wife and I participated in the program on our honeymoon and plan to do so again when we next visit Aruba.

Restaurants are good. But, only worth it if you are going to eat an appetizer, salad, nmain course and desert. Most times this is too much to eat. I wouldn't buy it. Be more concerned with how many cocktails or wine you have with your meal.

Re: AGA Dine Around

List does not include alot of the restaurants we normally use. Not that they are bad places as I obviously can't say. We don't always have appetizers and desserts. We prefer to use our money on the restaurants we like, eat what we want, have a couple of cocktails and sometimes dessert. Sometimes it ends up costing us a little more than the $72 (36x2)credit you would have, and other times you we would have spent less. But we are getting to go to the restaurants we love. It really depends on how you eat, what restaurants you want to go to and how you want to spend your money.

Re: AGA Dine Around

I just got back for the third time and have always used it. We got the 7 bkfst/4 dinner plan for $215pp We do the buffet at the Wyndham. Plenty of choices for restaurants 30 or so. They give you it all from aappetizer to dessert. SOME THINGS on the menu will be charged a surcharge for.(certain steaks/lobster) but it works fine for us. plenty of food....

Big Post on other board

Go to www.aruba-bb.com/ as big Post on there about it. I don't think it is worth it as we do not eat/drink all so we lose money against what we would pay as we go. Here is what I said there.
"See for yourself. Go to www.manchebo.com/steakhouse
Yes like above states only 1 soup/appetizer. The surcharged items have a * or **. Each * add $2. Reading the fine print at the end it looks like dessert is only ice cream and none of the fancy coffies. So add up what you would order. Some places have early bird specials or free glass of wine. Look for coupons in red bag at airport and the many free tourist books at resort. Aruba has excellent water so we always just have water and wine with our dinners.
This is a Steak House but every year I get:
Catch of the Day
Freshly caught fish, prepared according to your choice of Spanish Creole style, ....... --- The Spanish Creole style is excellent."

Re: AGA Dine Around

The restaurants are very good but we do not eat five courses and therefore found it more reasonable eating out on our own. Lots of the entrees had a * which meant an extra charge as well. It's been over ten years now and we prefer eating what we want where and when we want.

Thanks for the input. We tend to eat one course and drink a lot so I dont know if it will be worth it.

Re: AGA Dine Around

We felt it was worth it. Great restaurants on the list. We saved a lot using the 7 breakfast and 4 dinner plan. Many of the best restaurants are on the list, we picked the one that were recommended on this site.
