AIRFARES

airfare prices are getting out of control ..seems like it might be about time that ARUBA start chartering planes to pick up passengers in major cites and compete with the domestic carriers here, after all they beneift from the tourist dollars.right now AA wants over 700.00?

Re: AIRFARES

We got $350.00 per person Bos/Aruba non-stop- thats ridiculous price...we paid $638.00 last year..the price went down and we got $250.00 voucher back....check out everything on line...call airport...I found the price on Orbitz...called the airport and they honored that price....your right the prices are going crazy....is really discourages people to travel to Aruba...

Re: AIRFARES

I bought 7 tickets, Boston to Aruba non stop for $294.00 each!

Last year we paid $568.00 non stop. I really got a great deal this year!!

Check out AA every single day. I was holding tickets every other day for 4 months until the price was right. I guess it depends on how far in advance you start your search. We are going in May, I'm sure flights right now are CRAZY! Prime time!

Have fun no matter what the cost, it's worth it!

Re: AIRFARES

We have a timeshare President's Week. Our tickets (American Airlines) from New York were $1300.each. It is getting ridiculous for a family of four to travel to Aruba. We can only travel on school vacations, so we don't really have a choice. Last year we exchanged our week with Interval International and we went to Mexico because the airfare was only $500 each. We might be doing that again next year.

Re: AIRFARES

Last November, we were fortunate enough to use frequent flyer miles for 4 people. This year, we will have to pay for 2 tickets. If you don't have to worry about kids, school, etc. you can get great fares a few weeks before if you're willing to go that route. I know someone who paid $294 r/t from Newark. I can't wait until the last minute like that, but if you can that's how you get great deals.

Re: AIRFARES

I am traveling in early June and had been looking at Continental out of Newark and the best I could fine was $448.00, r/t pp.
Then it went down to $400.00 just for a couple of days and went back up to $448.00.
I got nervous and booked it because I spent over $700.00 last year. I booked on a Thursday and on Monday it went down to $350.00 (weekend depart) and $290.00 for midweek. I called the airline and they wouldn't do anything. I'm still happy with the fare.
