We were there two days ago, alot of the machines were out of order. What day did this happen?
I've said many times "Aruba ain't Vegas" merely a wanna be.
Going back to the second note on this thread..."since the machines at Alhambra at TITO (ticket in ticket out) the person(s) doing the stealing would have had to keep making trips to the cashier with the tickets to exchange for cash?"
There are machines around the casino that will take a ticket and cash it in on the spot, alleviating the need to stand in line to cash in. I was surprised to see them, but also glad, considering there always seemed to be a line at the cash window. That and I didn't want to bother the cashier for $40...
At any rate, no, you don't have to go to the cashier, so I can see how it could feasibly happen. Once customer A has the machine set, customer B, C and so on can come in, hit a jackpot and go cash in on the little cash machines on the floor. Sounds simple enough to me.
However, I will say it sucks (pardon the colloquialism) that some people that are walking this earth with us have to stoop to such pathetic levels because they're too damn lazy to earn an honest existence. The worst part is, everyone suffers for the actions of a few.
On a happier note, if you're on the island, have a wonderful time!
If you're on your way there, enjoy your time in paradise.
The weather's there, I wish I were too...
And regarding the Vegas reference, I don't think anyone ever did or ever will make that comparison.
Aruba = relaxation and peace.
Lost Vegas = stress, stress, stress and commercialism up the *%#*@!
I'll take Aruba.
"It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got..."
Aruba.... May 21, 2017, unless that lottery ticket hits.
