Hello,

Last year I went to Aruba for the first time with my husband and stayed at the Allegro Beach Resort & Casino......We totally fell in love with it as well as the people who live and work in Aruba. We are going back in November and I noticed the name has been changed to Occidental Aruba???? I would like to hear from people who have been to it within the last couple of years and who may have returned this year. Is it as good as it was??? All the restaurants sound the same except my favorite one which was located right in front of the pool bar. I can't remember the name of the resturant but it was the one in front of the beach bar and you had to make reservations for dinner up until 9 pm. I loved this restuarant because they had a huge selection of all types of food and most importantly to me they had Filet Mignon which was out of this world which is what I always got. I am so worried that this restaurant is gone and the menu does not have this type of food. It seems as though there is a Papaya Restaurant which says for a "different" taste and carribean food.....Is this restaurant the same or in place of the one I loved so much and if it is different do they have american food such as Filet Mignon, Prime Rib???? And how is the food??? Do they still have the casino type shows in the restaurant where the different buffets usually are? Please write and tell me if this resort is still great!!!! Counting days the days til I'm there!!!! Also do they still have the place near the pool where from 6pm to 1am you can have pizzas made to your order?
