I just got back from Aruba yesterday. I surveyed the back and front of the Allegro. It would take a miracle for it to open by December 15, 2005. Most of the sliding glass doors on the rooms by the terraces are non existant. The area by the beach is completly dug up. There is no longer any amenities on the beach side of the hotel. The rooms are bare with nothing in them. I questioned some of the people on site who stated that it will not open anytime soon. I would not book before next summer at the earliest.

contruction is quick! the can work every day whit al lot of poeple. the will finish in time because they also have a contract.

The fact that this area you mentioned is dug up is a good sign...that is the site of two new restaurants a double decker air conditioned building. This shows improvement.
One tower will be done by December...not sure how long it will take in full to complete the project though.
