if the allegro doesn't open untill june or july as stated ,in one of the threads what is going to happen to those of us that have made reservations for jan, feb, march and so on.and what about the people with time share? if anyone knows anything please let us know thanks in advance.
I spoke to the head of the timeshare department at the Allegro who said everything is going as scheduled and they would not be taking reservations if it wasn't.
Occidental resorts sent me an email stating that they were introducing the Occidental Grand (formerly Allegro) in Aruba. They said that they will be reopening Late '05- Early '06. The hotel wouldnt be advertising if they werent plannnig on opening at that time.
Andrea thanks for the info. just hope that it wasn't B.S.but at least it was good news and not bad we will have to wait and see i'll be their in feb. I HOPE.
I too talk to Werner the General Manager there at The Allegro at least once a month and he said that everything was going as planned. They are still looking to open for New Years.
Talking to those clowns on the tele...haha they dont know jack sh-t.... You'll see and eat my words.... I'm here now it's like the oklahoma federal building blast.... ok thats a bit much.. how about Beirut without the bullet holes... torn apart.... no way jose
The allegro is using different workers from what I have heard from several sources. They arent doing the typical hammer, drink, hammer drink that is done in the Carib. I dont think a full reopening will take place in Dec...but they have a good shot at a partial.
BTW...I was there last week and spoke to Werner and a lot more people who work at the hotel and are now helping with the construction.
ken first you demolish and then you rebuild and that is exactly what the allegro is doing, they are right on course, and for the radison that took years,it's a shame because it could have been done in a more timely fashion ,just goes to show they didn't care about their customers.
