Re: american airline change

Stay away from booking on American airlines. They are messing up everyone's lives. Put them out of business.

Re: american airline change

I'm leaving Boston in May. I had a direct flight down and back and they changed my flight coming back to a layover.I won't be back in Boston 'till after midnight. Screws everything up because it's a Sunday and I have to work Monday. No worries..good luck

Re: american airline change

Got an e-mail from AA last night changing our May flights to and from the island. Going is Miami instead of SaJuan and coming home (are you ready for this one) - they have us staying in SanJuan for two days before coming home. That means we leave Aruba 5/22 for SanJuan and then we sit or stand until the 24th when we fly into Newark from SanJuan. Is this crazy or what? Needless to say there were several phone calls this morning and we got it straightened out but there is something very wrong here. We booked these flights in July 2004 and thought we were all set.

Re: american airline change

I just checked with my travel agent and our direct flight down was moved ahead 2 hours. I guess that's okay... but now we have to get up at 4:30 AM!

I hope they don't change our return flight. We're connecting in Miami, not San Juan, but they could change any flights I guess.

Thanks for the info,
Wendy

American airlines has become the newest giant to make slaves of their cutomers. Revolution is on the way. do not book american ever again. show them YOU have the power and put them all out of jobs. GOODBYE AMERICAN AIRLINES.

Re: american airline change

My itinerary was changed by AA about two weeks ago. I was orignally supposed to fly from Bangor to Boston, then Boston to Aruba. Now I'm flying from Bangor to Boston, Boston to New York (JFK), then on to Aruba. American said they discontinued the direct flight from Boston to Aruba (at least for the date I was scheduled in May - not sure about other dates). Same with the trip back - Aruba to Miami, Miami to Boston, Boston to Bangor. Now I have two stops instead of one, and my total travel time increased about 3 hours each way. Fun fun! I hope my bags make it!

Re: american airline change

Were leaving for aruba in May. After reading the board today it prompted me to check with my travel agent. Sure enought our direct flight from Boston has been changed flying to New York (JFK)change planes then to Aruba . She's trying to change for we can get there earlier, flying to San Juan then Aruba arriving at 1:30pm,our travel agent didn' t even have notification of change till I talked to her. 2 hour drive to Boston from Westerly, r.i. so will be leaving 2:10 am.Will be worth it all once we land in beautiful Aruba .

Re: american airline change

Travelocity informed me of the change in my itinerary. They had me scheduled to fly from Bangor to NY-LaGuardia and then from JFK-Aruba. I asked them "how in the **** to do expect me to get from LGA to JFK?" <grin> After a short wait I was able to receive the flight schedule I have now (noted two messages above). It's an extra stop, but it'll still be worth it, definitely! Although I don't know if the trip would be worth having to fly - then drive through New York City, between airports - then fly again. Well... maybe it would! haha It IS Aruba, after all.
