Went onto both websites, but still was not able to ascertain what the meaning of "bright" means....have never tried it...yet....do they add a little citrus to it like the new beers here in the states???

No, they do not have a citrus flavor. They are very similar to a Corona. Most people add a lime to them just like Corona.

I asked this same question at my favorite store with lots of variety. The reason you don't see it here in the states is because the alcohol content of a Bright is higher than the others. No wonder everyone seems to like it

Amstel Brights have a 5% alcohol content. In comparison, Heineken is 5.4% and Bud, Miller, and Michelob are all 5%.

All this talk about Amstel Bright is getting to me. Had my first one this past Feb. & can't wait to have many more in Nov.
The only beer I drink here at home is corona. Amstel Bright was just as good, maybe better....consider where I was drinking it may have helped it taste better.
Have a few for me Amy!

Thanks everyone! My first order of business tomorrow after arriving, picking up the car, and unpacking is.....having a cold Amstel Bright (the first of many, I'm sure!)
