Amsterdam Manor & Divi Dutch

Six weeks and counting! We are going to Aruba shortly (3rd time) and staying at Amsterdam Manor for 2 nights and then to the Divi Dutch for a week. Has anyone stayed at either place and have any comments re either? How are the resturants at each resort? How strict are the check-in times at the Divi Dutch? I was told that to check-in at the Dutch, you need to go to the Divi Phoenix, is this so?
We can't wait until we get there to kick back and relax.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Amsterdam Manor & Divi Dutch

Stayed at Amsterdam Manor twice this year. Mango's is a great restaurant. You can also order food and drinks on the beach from their beach bar during the day. They now have a special dinner on the beach at sunset (called Passion) that you need to make reservations for since seating is limited (food and ambiance are wonderful!)

Rooms at Amsterdam Manor are nice and all come with either a full kitchen or kitchenette depending on which size room you booked.

Have a great time!

Both are nice. check in at the divi village to register for the divi dutch village across the street. Check in times may be strict due to no room cleaned up for you yet. otherwise, you are in like flynn.

Re: Amsterdam Manor & Divi Dutch

We went to Mango's for dinner this last February. It was our first time in the Amsterdam Manor and we were impressed. The atmosphere around the outdoor restaurant is nice. There is an "indoor" area that is just a roof, no walls. Then there are other tables out on the pool deck. Never been to DDV so not sure there. But check out the other thread titled "Amsterdam Manor or Mill Resort" to learn about the mysterious (and unpleasant) odor that is sometimes evident at AM. Have fun.

Re: Amsterdam Manor & Divi Dutch

I stayed at the Amsterdam Manor in May (21-30) and the place is very nice. Alittle too kid friendly for my liking. Also you should know that there is a sewage plant right behind the resort and if the wind kicks up you will get the most godawful smell!!The bartender Filo is the BEST!The food is pricey for the servings.Go to the supermartket and stock up and save your money for a good dinner.May I suggest Texas D' Brazille across from the Holiday Inn!!Excellent food. They open at 6:00 p.m. and you do not really need a reservation. The Beach at the Amsterdam is also the best! The tiki bar is great too!!If you see Filo tell him John and Michele that were there in May said HI!Have a great trip!!
