I passed by the setup yesterday In looking at the setup, the rides and equipment looked old and worn. There was nothing that was confidence inspiring. Looked like a low budget operation n

After listening to all sides, apparently the young child(or his parents) in this case did not follow the instructions of the ride and subsequently fell on his tail. The child was fine playing football 2 days after and said he would love to go back.

Also got more info on what happened in Bonaire. The park was operating for about 1 week when one of the rides(the ones with the chair that go up and down) suffered an overheating problem. This in turn activated the rides safety measures and "locked" everyone and every chair into place. So the owner of the coney island argues that this was actually positive news because "these things happen everywhere in the world even at disney" and that it showed indeed how safe these rides are because of built in safety measures should anything go wrong.

In Curacao it operated for about 2 months without incident. It seems that a lot of people mostly on facebook and the radio jumped the gun on a lot of misinformation before corroborating it.

Furthermore the operator also said he was "astonished" by the work of DTI(Bureau of technical inspection) compared to the other islands. DTI apparently did 4 inspections while they were setting up the park and 3 inspections after it started operating. Engineers took a look at the state of the metals, screws, bolts and the operating systems.

I'm heading out with my nephews as soon as it reopens
