I just read your reply about your neighbor's dog. It makes me sick but I don't think you're powerless. We Had a similar situation where this dog is in this tiny pen 24-7. I called the people numerous times, sent letters, ETC. I also called the dog warden and she has been over their house many times. In some states, it's illegal to tie a dog out for more than a certain number of hours. Honestly, if I were you, I'd probably steal the dog and find him a good home. Why not?? They obviously don't care. Anyone who does that to an animal should be tied outside too. Don't ignore the problem, you may be the only one who can help the poor baby~! Sorry for rambling....I get crazy when it comes to dogs!!

We're working on your suggestions. The situation, without a 1000 words is very unusual and repraisals will certainly cause a major war. Trust me, if I explained all the details, you would tell me to stay away from the situation. Very unhealthy at best.
Thanks for your comments. Animal welfare is a huge undertaking and the ratio of those who truly care like yourself, who would make a vast difference in the animal world, against those who care in opinions only and those who simply do not care one way or another, dwarf our humane considerations.
Didnt you just read where they are slaughtering thousands of Elephants for their tusks and for their tusks only?
Rhinos for their horns, Gorillas Paws for ash trays and everything else un-mentionionable.
They murdered Dian Fossey for trying to save and learn about the lives and habits of Gorillas so changes could be administered to help them.

You and I will never feel differently, we will always care and get hurt but for your own well being mentally, step away from the idea that things will change in the future and animal rights will be honored. Dogs particularily in the United States are bought or adopted many times on a whim, then discarded without the animals future.
Many instances this is being done to babies let alone animals. The Lord Bless you!

Thanks for your response. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a human being. If only we weren't so ignorant with regards to animals. ...The Lord Bless you too.
