    Another drowning on Eagle Beach

Did anyone hear about a man drowning on Eagle Beach this week? From what I've read, he was on a jet ski with his wife and fell off. Apparently, his life jacket came off or he removed it. He drown before the jet ski people could get to him. How tragic for his wife to witness this and not be able to save him.

I did hear about it. For some reason he took off his life vest. So sad.

    scroll down

    it is in papiamento

one thing that i really dont like are the photos.
i wish that the photographers (not only in aruba) would lay off taking photos of bodies.
maybe the aruba police could do a better job of shielding?

Andrea, thanks for the heads up on the photos. I totally agree with you so I didn't view. It's such a sad situation.

Sad for sure. I can't fathom the pain his wife is in. The photos are classless and unneeded for sure, IMO but it happens everywhere not just Aruba as Andrea said.

Indeed very sad. It seems it happened so fast. Life is fragile...

It is sad. The lesson here is in the name-LIFE vest.

I'm a pretty good swimmer and I usually swim out to rope at the beach but If I was snorkeling or jet skiing further out, I wear the life vest.
