It began about Monday afternoon. Was full blown by yesterday morning. Flying yesterday afternoon at the lower altitude after take off you could actually see the swells rolling over the ocean.

Looks like things are going to improve. The boats are coming back from the other side of town.

I was at Playa Linda last week and heard the waves Tuesday morning when I went down to the beach before the sun came up. And then they got increasingly worse and on Wednesday they were washing up as far as the 4th row of chickees. Too rough to go in the water and the undertow was very bad. It was a sight to see the waves with white caps right off Palm Beach. There were more and bigger at the point around the Phoenix. Most of the boats did not return to our area until Friday.

Hi, I was just wondering how the waves are this week?
Heading to Riu Palace at the end of the month with 4 small kids - hopefully the beach will be calm while we're there

This will be our 3rd time in Aruba - hopefully mother nature will cooperate with us while we are there - the main reason we love Aruba is because of the calm waters on Palm beach.
