Me too! I have the added problem of keeping my mother in books. We're both avid readers. One of my "analisms" is if I get a new book I have to read it first. I've had to give her some books I haven't read first, going against my grain. I recently let her go through the boxes of books I have in storage. She has enough to keep her busy for a while.

Thanks MJN 109! I just ordered two books from Thriftbooks. What a great site for all of us book lovers!

paul and i finished LOST SYMBOL by dan brown.
we had it on our ipod and listed to it for most of the drive south.
it was about 19 hrs in length.
    the reader was very good.
the book/story, imo, not so much.
    too wordy.
some parts were slow and tedious.
paul liked it better than i. he may have loved it.
i have now started one of Nora Roberts Trilogies on the ipod.

I enjoyed The Lost Symbol. I got it for Christmas, and read it right away. It was my favorite of Dan Brown's books, but I do agree that his puzzles tend to get a little tedious.

I just started The Help Friday, KeepSmiling, and I'm finding it hard to put down. I'm trying to slow down reading it, because I don't want it to end. Katheryn Stockett is a wonderful storyteller.

Just finished Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane....have not seen the movie, yet.

It did exactly what the name implies-made me "shutter" it is a real mind game. He is an amazing author! Not as good as our own San Nic44 though!

    now reading rainwater sandra brown....

how many have a book reader, what are your thoughts on it.,what one do you have? do you like your choice? do you think it takes away from reading a book that you can hold? trouble on getting books? I just don't know how I feel about them... I go back and forth!
