For any fans of the Bronte Sisters - I just finished "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield. It was very reminiscent of the Bronte Sisters work. A mystery that spans 3 generations of an aristocratic English family - laden with tragedy, mental illness and some incest - could not put it down until read the last page.

Andrea do you purchase your audiobooks or borrow from the library? If you borrow from the library do you use some intermediary software to transfer to iPod?

Just a suggestion...for what it may be worth...I frequent the charity fhrift stores in my area; and, often, am able to purchased many CD's/and tapes with popular books on them. I, have a tape player...portable...as well as often listen to CD's of books in my vehicle...which, I am fortunate...also has a tape player as well.

Audiobooks (aruba dec 9 - 23 including on the flights)

    Along Came a Spider (patterson)
Two Dollar BIll and Dead in the Water (Stuart Woods)
    The Help (Stockett)

All 4 exceptional reads!! (or in my case "listening")

and the DUNCE of the group......... LOVELY BONES.........omg it was torturous and i not only turned it off after listening for 3 hrs, i deleted it from itunes.

I, too, found The Lovely Bones to be torturous - like nails on a chalkboard. So many people raved about it but I just never got into it. I have a rule about never putting a book down before it's finished so I was literally torturing myself to finish it.

The Help is on my list. I'm currently reading Imperfect Justice - Prosecuting Casey Anthony (which I can't put down) but will need a list of 2-3 more great reads to bring on plane and to Aruba for our 2 week stay at the end of March thru mid April.
