I know there was an explosion at a refinery. Did not hear about a spill.

IF the oil traveled that far, carried with the direction of the wind, the oil would end up in Venezuela near the Paraguana Peninsula.

I would also venture to guess that a. the Aruban Coast Guard is aware of the situation and b. has a plan of action should there be a problem, which imho, there will not be .

    Smile

That really stinks because my wife and 2 girls are going to Curacao the end of Nov. Its my daughters senior trip so she picked her older sister to go on the trip with her. We are doing 5 days in Aruba and 5 days in Curacao. I was planning on diving alot in Curacao. Hope its cleaned up by then. I don't really want to get oil on my mask or wetsuite!!!!
