Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Good morning,

My two favourite places are Aruba and Maui. We go to Aruba in January (We're booked Jan.16-24, 2009) and Maui in May and October.

When we're not actually on these two islands, we're either talking about what we did on the last visit, or what we plan to do on the next one.

25 more sleeps and we'll be off to Aruba once again. Like last year, we'll be at The Mill. If anybody is going, we'll see you there.

If I don't get back on here before Thursday, Merry Christmas.

Here I go, today I am in over a foot of snow 3 weeks ago I was in 80 something degrees, many feet of sand and gallons of Balashi.
That's it, I'm turning up the heat, putting on some island music, emptying the sand out of a shaker thing and laying in front of the window with the sun (poor neighbors). How could I forget the frozen drink.

Bill, what a wonderful idea...just make sure you are not in your birthday suit sunning in your front window...I don't think you could explain it away as easily as if you were on the island

Bill - Like everyone says, and like the island logo says - "ONE HAPPY ISLAND" that is why we can not forget and can not get enough. I can not wait till May 09, been missing since 07, too long. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE. Keep warm.

I'm back just 24 hours and Arubaitis has ALREADY set in! The brutal winter weather here in the northeast isn't helping but dreams of my return in June of '09 will keep me warm and happy for now.

The best feeling is getting off the plane and looking at the poor people waitng to get on the plane you just got off. Enjoy every minute in Aruba. Go to bed late and wake up early because...soon you will be the people at the airport behind the glass with tan yet sad faces looking at all those people with pale smiling faces on the other side of the glass.
I am pale right now but my smile is beginning to form. If I have trouble sleeping I simply close my eyes and visualize the entire arrival process from landing through cusoms baggage claim, the cab ride and my first cocktail at the tiki bar. By the time I have my first sip I am out cold.

Till your Aruba Dream becomes your next Aruba Reality...Merry Christmas.

Is the ''crying room" the airport?? Because I most definately did cry there on my way home from my honeymoon last year-I SO did not want to leave.

The crying room is the glassed in waiting area that holds the departing people. When you arrive you march past that waiting area...notice all those tan sad faces???? Well, thats the crying room. cindyo
