On our recent trip in January we were snorkelling at Boca Catalina. While on the beach area we were approached by 2 men in their 20's who said they were from Columbia. They seemed very interested in striking up a conversation and persisted in asking us many personal questions, to which we gave vague replies. We were in the process of packing up to go and didn't feel threatened, but assumed that they were probably attemting to befriend us and then offer drugs for sale. It was very odd they wanted to talk to us, and that "6th sense" kind of kicked in and we left the area pretty quickly. You just have to be careful. Were approached in years past in front of Holiday Inn while walking at night. I still don't think that it's as bad in Aruba as on other islands.
